- Seville, Spain
- Year
- 2022
- Type
- Public space
- Area
- 1,250 m²
Statement
A forgotten service yard returned to the neighbourhood as shade, water and a single tree. The oldest wall was kept exactly as found.

Design approach
Minimum intervention, maximum consequence. New paving, one bench line, one tree, one opening cut through to the street — enough to change how the block is used.
Materials
- Reclaimed brick
- Lime render
- Cast stone
- Corten

Environment
Permeable paving returns rainfall to the water table. Surface temperature in summer measured 7°C lower than the adjacent street.
